Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

SportsTracks Quesion

For those that use sports tracks can you please explain what the amount column means in the elevation zone grid. My chart looks like the following

ZONE Amount Distance Time Percent
Ascending 2559 feet 7.07 miles 38:47 36%
Flat -13 feet 4.64 miles 20:01 24%
Descending -2556 feet 7.42 miles 26:09 38%
Total -10 feet 19.13 miles 1:24:57 100%

Thanks....

Hey I just downloaded that program last night....

I have created my own excel spreadsheet but this one looks pretty good...

I think the amount means number of feet climbed/descended...

So you Ascended a total of 2559 feet in 7.07 miles in 38:37 which as 36% of your ride...

Right, I was being a moron and thinking that the amount was the 7.07 miles converted to feet, but that is not actually the number of feet climbed.

Great program. I've been playing with all the features and trying to get used to it. Like it much better than motion based...
