anyone have a wireless bike comp and had this happen?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

anyone have a wireless bike comp and had this happen?

This has been going on for a year since i bought this cateye hr 200 wireless which is a great computer . the computer is supposed to go into power save and sleep after not sensing motion for a period of time. teh computer has been replaced with a new one already once. what happens is the computer will not go into power save in the garage it stays on for days.
so i have been for the last year leaving it onmy truck bike rack and then putting it inside after it goes to sleep. that worked al last year yet now it stays awake in driveway this intereference is now extended to the outside of the garage. so now i have to wheel the bike outside in the back in the barn and leave it there to sleep . nobody seems to have heard of this before at any bike shop any riders i know and cat eye either. i have no wireless internet i have no electrical things in my garage that are doing this. any help will be great . thanks.

does your computer look like this? if so, your problem may be a lot worse than you think.

i(seriously) think i remember reading about someone leaving theirs outside in the mailbox overnight to combat this. was that you?

Can't you just take the computer off the bike after a ride and keep it inside the house, then just take it out when you ride?

Is the magnet left directly over the sensor? Might trip the reed switch inside.

Lots of possibility for unintended interference which would trigger the sensor... garage door opener, tv remote, cellphone, high voltage power lines, UFOs, etc
