Performance Quattro Lenses - When to use?

I recently picked up the Quattros and they came in yesterday. I'm curious what each lens is for. I want cut an dry answers, each thread I went through on a search someone answered like 1 color and then neglected the rest. Performances site has nothing and amazon and shopping.com both point back to the performance site. So far I've come up with:

Silver/Gray = Sunny
Amber = ?
Yellow = Night Riding
Clear = Raining

Fill in the blanks or correct me accordingly. Thanks!

Clear = Rain and night. All tinted lenses will cut down the light available to your eyes.

The yellow/amber are for contrast, most useful when you are in a wooded area. 9 times out of 10, the dark tinted lenses will fit the bill.

Medium to lowlight conditions. i.e. overcast

clear = dark or rainy
amber = sunny

gray = if the amber gets scratched, dirty, or lost
yellow = never

I disagree on the yellow lenses.

I find in early morning/low level light, especially if it is a foggy morning, the yellow is great. It makes imperfections in the road stand out. (It does weird things to flesh tones though, be forwarned.)

Wear clear when you don't have to block the sun. Wear other colors to match your mood and outfit.

This is cycling after all. ;)

yellow for low light, helps with contrast.

Yellow = ...
... a high contrast lenses. The yellow filters blue light to increase contrast. The density of this lens is very light (visible light transmission is around 70%), so they are not a sunglass. These lenses have been used primarily for shooting.

Any lens with color will absorb / reflect some visible light, allowing less to enter the eye, and ultimately be focused on the retina. Result will be a decrease in visual acuity.

Amber is good for early morning or late afternoon when the sun is low and causes glare but also has huge shadows. Riding with dark glasses in those conditions is annoying because going into the shadows make you feel blind for a moment, then blind again when you come out of it.

Yellow is great for night, even when there are stadium lights around because it doesn't pick up the glare. I used those for night time velodrome races.

If I ever buy any of these, you guys can have my yellow. I've tried yellow and I hate it. At night or in low light, I can see much better with a clear lens.

daylight = smoke or mirrored.
rain/overcast/early morning = yellow/amber/rose they improve contrast in flat lighting even if they cut down the total amount of light.
night = clear

"I want you to kill all the golfers."

"Not golfers, gophers. You know, the brown furry things."

"you don't even need a permit."
