Edge 305 Enter Button Not Working

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Edge 305 Enter Button Not Working

As I went out for my ride today, I thought I would give the auto start/stop function a try and noticed that my enter button does not work.? Everything worked fine the las time I used it.? Has anyone had this problem?? If it does come down to being covered under warranty, does anyone know if Garmin will send me a new one or will i have to send it in for repair and be without it.? Also, I am using the most current firmware and software but I can't remember which ones they are since I can't use my enter button to check it. Thanks in advance.

Did you go out in a wet ride? Heavy dirt conditions? After racing in heavy rain over the last weekend, my Garmin managed to accumulate a nice amount of debris inside of the lap/reset button. I couldn't push it at all until I flushed it with warm water for a few minutes. The flush got my button to work if I applied heavy pressure to it (just enough that I was able to reset between races)

When I returned home from traveling, I took my dental waterpik to the button edges, and then gave it a few hours to dry... lo and behold, everything worked like new after that.

Well, I called Garmin and I am sending it in today. The guy on the phone said that this is a problem that he has not had before. Whether they fix it or replace it, I hope it's quick. I really don't want to go back to my old coputer but I guess I don't have a choice. The unit has never been in any kind of inclement weather either.

So you're without a computer now? It sounds like it.

How did they confirm warranty, place of purchase, etc? Curious ebay-ers want to know!
