What pedals do you use?

What pedals do you use? I use Speedplay X5's. Never tried anything else though.

If anyone thinks of others let me know. I couldn't think of any other ones.

blindvelcro 03-31-07 01:15 PM

Just picked up a pair of Time RXS. Great pedal, light weight, cheap. A+.

SpongeDad 03-31-07 01:17 PM

Loving the Speedplay Zeroes. Just wish they were easier to walk in. Putting on the cleat covers isn't hard, but it's an annoying distraction.

-VELOCITY- 03-31-07 01:20 PM

Yeah last week my tire got shredded and I had to walk about a quarter mile back to my car. Definitely very painful. Even with the cleat covers. I'm considering getting mountain bike shoes for the walking comfort.

rha600 03-31-07 01:48 PM

Shimano 545s right now.

the beef 03-31-07 01:51 PM

Look PP206 and Look PP166 currently.

Used to run Shimano M324s (platform on one side, SPD on the other). Loved those. The SPD connector hangs facing towards you which is great for more serious riding.

kevinmcdade 03-31-07 01:55 PM

I just put my Shimano 6620's on and rode them for the first time today. So far, I am loving them. I didn't think I would be able to tell the difference from my 6610's but the wider platform does make a difference.

skiahh 03-31-07 02:11 PM

Speedplay Frogs. I use them on both my MTB and roadie. i can walk if I need or want to, the shoes are comfy and the pedals work.

Time RXS

wolfpack 03-31-07 02:23 PM

KeO Carbons

GuitarWizard 03-31-07 02:28 PM

Look A5.1's, some crappy Performance/Nashbar Look-compatibles, and I think an older pair of PP-396's (the ones with adjustable float).

caloso 03-31-07 02:48 PM

Shimano Ultegra.

midschool22 03-31-07 03:33 PM

Shimano 505 came with my bike. It is the first pair of clipless pedals I've ever had. So far so good.

rbart4506 03-31-07 03:36 PM

I started on Look Keo and have recently switched to Time RXS. I prefer the float on the Time to the Look's and I like the fact that if I miss the initial clip in that my foot stays on the pedal.

oboeguy 03-31-07 04:32 PM

Look A5.1, IIRC, and some Forte/Performance cheapo SPD-clone.

the beef 03-31-07 04:34 PM

There's always a tie between Look and Shimano, for some reason. I remember this exact poll made a few months ago with about the same results.

Crank Bros. Quattro SL

When they wear out I'll get Looks. I do 50/50 City/Rural so the unclipping is too frequent for me.

Look Keo Sprints in red, because we all know red is faster...the rest of my road bike is nekid and black...

yeamac 03-31-07 08:06 PM

Bebops.

Mukluk 03-31-07 08:22 PM

I got my first clipless pedals last year. Speedplay since it is supposed to be good if you have knees that are prone to problems. I've been happy with them.

Sirrobinofcoxly 03-31-07 08:32 PM

Speedplay Zero Chro-mo
Eggbeater C
Eggbeater SL
