Whats a good all-around crank ratio to consider....could use some help here...thanks

If 'good all-around' means adaptable to a wide variety of conditions, then get a triple (52-42-30).

That would be a great combo if your typical rides are say, 50 miles with about 300 feet of climbing.

Since most bikes these days come with 53/39, I guess it's a pretty good choice for most. I use 50/38 because I'm old and fat.
