Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

New Bike!!

I finally got a new bike after years of riding this:

To this:

It's an '07 Felt F75, 54cm. Rides like a dream, especially compared to the all steel GT. The carbon rear end feels great, as well as the full carbon fork and the carbon seatpost. The shifting (105 FD and Shifters, Ultegra RD) feels amazing compared to the older RSX. I took it out for a quick 20 miler today and it felt like i hardly had to use any energy to keep the average speed up around 17, even with a head wind. The seat is plenty comfortable, wheels spin great, and overall, it's great. I got it for $1400 out the door with the computer from Sayville Bike Works on Long Island. I weighed it today at 19.5 lbs. with pedals, computer and seat bag on it. I weighed the GT with just pedals at 24.5 lbs. Let me tell you, that 5 pounds makes quite a difference. Here's some more pics:

Very nice. And it looks like a good deal for the components as well.

Sweet ride.... congrats! Personally, I think the new '07 Felt color schemes look just fine (there's another thread with a general lack of enthusiasm over their '07 line up colors).

I do like the color/sticker scheme. It looks nice, not too overwhelming and it catches the eye.

But... you could've had a Motobecane!

Just kidding. Bike looks great.
