Now I've seen everything
I was coming down off of Mt. Diablo (a healthy climb in the SF bay area) and saw to my surprise someone riding a unicycle UP the mountain. The section he was on wasn't that steep (6% grade?) but he was doing great, and said he was going to the top. I was pissed that I didn't bring my camera.
Descending on a unicycle must be very interesting!

I would pay $ to see a guy bomb a big descent on a unicycle.

WOW!! I'd never heard of Kris Holm either. Absolutely amazing! I think my eyes were WIDE open (think Reche Caldwell) the entire time I was watching that video...very cool!

I did not have a chance to climb Diablo this year, but I did it last year. The descents can be technical so I don't know unicylists corner these turns. Also, I guess braking is by pedaling backward?

He's either got a fixed gear or a coaster/hub brake - look at the pedals spin when the dog is pulling him.
That guy makes riding on 2 wheels look about as challenging as riding a tricycle.

I did the my local MS150 bike ride from Houston to Austin for the first time last year. The first day is basically a century. I was about 5 miles away from the end of day 1 last year and not exactly lacking confidence when - 2 uncyclists pass me. I tell the story all the time. It brought a little perspective and a good ego adjustment.

My hands started sweating just watching him on that bridge rail - that dude is insane.
