Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

A sunday in hell

I was wondering does anyone have the '76 paris-roubaix documentary? Ive been dying to see it, problem is I cant find it anywhere, the dvds that pop up on ebay are always wrong region, or if its a VHS its Pal format. I'm sure it will be frowned upon but I thought I'd ask; anyone care to encode it into a video format for those who don't live in cycling rich countries?

I own it.

Just sayin'.

I don't really have anywhere to host it though. Assuming I get around to ripping it.

I'd be interested too. I was lucky enough to see it in a theater during the Bicycle Film Festival here in NYC last year. The documentary short "Vive le Tour" was shown as well. The funniest thing about the latter was the claim that doping would be eradicated from cycling before long (filmed in the 60s, perhaps?). Ha!

I got the 700MB file. If someone could supply an ftp, I'll upload. Otherwise, I'll try to figure out how to seed a new torrent.

I think that's where I bought it from.

So people, if you like it, go buy it.

That's where I got mine, too, as well as La Course en Tete / The Greatest Show on Earth. All are very, very awesome.
