DT Swiss 240s Radial w/ 3x lacing?

Notices
Road Cycling It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle. -- Ernest Hemingway

DT Swiss 240s Radial w/ 3x lacing?

Just received my new set of wheels and the front wheel came w/ a DT Swiss 240s radial front hub instead of the standard 240s I ordered. I contacted the builder who said that DT was not making the other hub anymore and the radial hub will be perfectly fine with the 3x lacing.

Are there any issues using a hub designed for radial spoke patterns w/ 3x?

Did DT really stop manufacturing the standard hub?

There are problems using a non-radial hub with radial lacing, but AFAIK the "radial" designation just means the flanges are beefed up a bit. I don't think it'll be a problem.

For some hubs, yes. DT's not one of them. You're OK going 3X

The only difference between the DT 240s Radial and Non-Radial is that the radial has stronger (heavier) flanges.
