Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Easton EC90 fork vs Specialzied Zertz fork

Wondering if anyone had experience with road comfort with a Easton EC90 SLX vs any Specialzied Carbon fork with zertz?

I konw that the easton will be lighter but didn't know if they are better at reducing vibration. I ride a C4 zertz fork now and like how it handles the road, however I keep looking at the weight at the Easton and want to get one.

Thanks.

The Easton does a pretty good job on the comfort front compared to the Spec. Not quite a good, but very close.

I love Easton's carbon stuff, but it doesn't sound like a swap that would really be worth it to make in your situation. Unless you can't possibly lose a hundred grams of body fat instead.

I swapped out my specialized zertz insert fork (c2?) for an Easton ec90SL fork and the easton fork is much nicer. Half the weight (static) and it absorbs road vibration much nicer. I'm not sure if it's the same fork you have. Mine came stock on a Allez elite. Either way I like the Easton much more.

It's a 2005 Allez elite. I got the dream silver color. I really liked the way it looked and haven't seen too many other bikes that similarly colored.
