Shorts or Bibs on Day One?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Shorts or Bibs on Day One?

Riding in the MS150 tomorrow and Sunday.

Day one is about 100 miles, mostly flat. Day two is 70-80 miles of hills.

I have a pair of shorts and 1 pair of bibs - which should I wear day one/two?

Bibs better fit for the tougher second day, maybe?

I would wear the bibs on day 1, then with a small amount of woolite, wash the skanky bibs, dry them overnight and put them back on for day 2.

I was just kidding, I would have taken off during lunch today and bought another pair of bibs

Since I got my first pair of bibs 8 months ago, I haven't worn my 5-6 pair of shorts (up to 9 years old)since, just a matter of time before they go in the dumper, just can't seem to part with them.

I'd go out and buy a second pair of bibs.

What are these 'shorts' you speak of?

I'd wash my bibs and let 'em dry. Or I'd get a second pair. I really don't wear my shorts much anymore.

I'll wear shorts once in awhile to use the weight machine and occasionally when the bike is on the trainer. Any outdoor ride calls for bibs in my view.
