Cannondale CAAD8 OPTIMO1 PRICING

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Cannondale CAAD8 OPTIMO1 PRICING

Hello CAAD8 Owners, I have just been offered a new 2007 CAAD8 OPTIMO1 for $1250. My plan is to sell the Truvativ cranks and buy Shimano 105 cranks for the bike.

Is $1250 a good price?

Thanks for all responses.

Regards

Sounds like a good price, is it a "new" on the shelf (in stock) model? or will you have to order it?

The LBS, I use, sells 'em for $1349.

Then, I'd say it's a good deal.

The reason I asked was, if it was an 'in-stock' bike; maybe they thought it'd been on the shelf long enough, and just wanted to get rid of it, before it sat too long, and they didn't want a '07 sitting there, when the new bikes start shipping later this year (yes, I understand it's still spring....lol).

dayam....I wish I found that same deal! as Turkey stated, I bought mine for $1349.99.

Lucas, I was in the same boat that you are contemplating...to go w/ 105 cranks for the whole groupo, but the Truvativ seems to suffice for now. I say ride the cranks and save $$ till it's time to replace, and then you can treat yourself for a nicer upgrade in the future.

I got my CAAD9 optimo3 yesterday for $1279 (without Tax). I got a 20% discount on the bike, pre ordered the bike. It took about 10 days to get it. I bought it from sportsbasement.com.
