Merida Road Frames?

Anyone have any info on these Taiwan built frames? Several appearing on scambay recently but I would be reluctant to have one shipped from Taiwan. I know they are involved with Mt. bike racing. From the pictures on scambay the weld and construction quality looks very good. The company web site lists NO USA distributor!

Merida makes bikes for some big name bike companies. I want to say SPecialized is one of them but I am not 100% sure there.

I believe Merida is a major owner of the Specialized Bicycles company. All Specialized bicycles are made in the Merida factory in Taiwan. Merida also sells bikes under their own brand name in other countries.

I have a Merida Road 901 road bike and i need to say itīs an incredible bike for the low price it has.
Itīs really light weight, just 9,025 kilos. Carbon Fork, fulll Sora, the frame engineering and robotic polished weldings are incredibly strong, and the 6061 aluminium frame itīs really light too. For a begginer like me, this bike do the job well, and more. Iīm very happy with my Merida 901, and being starting in this amazing sport too. I love road cycling.!!!!
