new to road bike, finally made a purchase...

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

new to road bike, finally made a purchase...

i jus recently got into road bikin... my neighbor is a road cycling freak and got me hooked, ive been ridin an old (to say the least) diamondback hand-me-down that he gave me and finally after a month bought my first cycle... its a new trek 1000 58cm, im 6'1 lost 15 lbs in a month bringin me to 175lbs and i absolutely love it... ive been doin a 12 week trainin program for my first tri come june 3rd its a sprint and the trainin prog leads right up to race day so im psyched! im averagin about 25-30 miles each time i go out... but i jus thought id throw up a pic and see what yall think... i test road a couple diff bikes but this was my favorite n deff fit the budget...

(disreguard the wheel reflectors, lol newbie hasnt taken them off yet)

Pretty bike, great sport to get into - many happy miles on it. 25-30 miles is great. Ride carefully!
