Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Music City Marathon Support

Just wanted to share with you guys. This last Saturday was the Country Music Marathon in Nashville, TN. I was one of the volunteers through my bike club for the Marathon. We rode ahead of elite runners, celebrities and wheelchair contestants to clear up the road.

I was personally assigned to a wheelchair and let me tell ya it was a BLAST. I totally loved it. Have you guys done anything like this? If so, how was your experience? Share it here.

Here is a picture. Notice the Bikeforums Jersey

Yes, but sometimes the fans tend to get in the way. I had to make several people walking their dogs get out of the way. But yeah, I know what you mean. It was mostly a cautionary thing, wasn't that much of a work. I am just happy having gotten a chance to show off, not to mention enjoy all the cheerleaders .

Cool deal....I had a few friends who ran the race. They said it was a very good event and very well organized.
