Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Great LBS shop

Just spent 2 hours at my LBS getting fitted for my new Orbea. It was an enjoyable experience unlike when I purchased my last bike. The owner spent a lot of time going over proper fit utilizing measurements entered into his CAD based program to ensure the frame and components are the right fit. Spent a lot of time going over the pros and cons of the individual components. He customized the components to fit my reach. All in all I left feeling like I finally dealt with someone who knew what they were doing and was interested in pleasing the customer. Just thought I'd share. Now I just have to wait 2-3 weeks for the frame to come in

Did you use your PIN number at the ATM machine to get money to pay for it?

Congrats on the purchase. Yes, a good bike shop does make quite a difference. What model Orbea did you get? I've got a 2005 Dauphine.

I am 6'-2" tall. Longer in the legs and slightly shorter in the torso. Crank length = 175mm compact. Bike frame = 60cm. Bars = 44cm shallowing.
