Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

My dad said that in his generation, every kid aspired to own a cadillac. He'll probably be the one to own this bike if it had been available in his time.

The most affordable cadillac I've seen to date.

There is legalese at the bottom:Cadillac, the Wreath and Crest Emblem, related Emblems and the related vehicle body designs are General Motors Trademarks used under license to Kent.

So is Kent the maker? Or marketer?

9 spd was cool when all I had was an 8 spd. Nothing wrong with it.

The specs mention "the frame includes a replaceable derailleur hanger" - whos hanger? Might give a clue to who make the frame. I remember there was a site that sold hangers for a very large number of manufacturers.

Screamin' deal for $600. There's enough left over for a decent set of wheels.

Take off the brifters and put them on scambay. With 105 9 speed going for more than Dura-Ace you might cover the cost of the bike and then buy a set of 10 speed shifter.

Damn thats cheap. You couldnt buy the parts yourself any cheaper. Weight is noticably absent from the spec.

Nuttin wrong with 9 sp. Just one less than 10. No big deal.

Might make a nice gift for an SO who doesnt ride or wants to try it.

Who could be crazy enough to pay more for 105 9sp than DuraAce 9sp. I've got D/A 9sp both bikes and got screamming deals on NOS closeouts. I've only jumped on the 9sp bandwagon last spring.

Why is 105 9-speed popular now? I bought NIB black ones last year for 135$USD shipped.

i'd ride that thing in any weather (with decals covering the caddy decals), but it would also be a great rainy day trainer if you ride an expensive bike.
