another mixed component question
 

I looked for the answer to this in previous posts and didn't really find it..Anyway, is there a problem with using a campy centaur compact double crankset with a shimano ultegra 10 speed drivetrain? It seems like there shouldn't be any issues, but i was a little concerned with the front derailleur (older shimano 600) and also whether the chain line would be effected.

Chain line is dependent on your crank and bottom bracket, so as long as they match you're set to go. The diff between a campy spec chainline and a shimano spec chainline is negligible. Your older FD may not shift as well as one made for compacts, but should work anyway.
