Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

A rather large horribly cut pixelated wheel magnet?

I have found that with no additional gizmos or supplements I can triple my speed by riding down steep inclines.

I believe the squiggly line should be replaced by a bold line; only one enantiomer is biologically active.

nothing makes me faster than being way too far away from home and the sun is getting pretty low in the sky. The thought of being out on the road at dusk will produce personal bests almost everytime.

+2. As far as I am concerned, two cyclists and one road is always a race. Hell, most of the time I am in a one man race.

I know, I know, I should be sooooo proud of myself for chasing down and racing past little girls on recovery rides. But, let me let you in on my little world on a bike: To me, everyone is LA on the Alp Du Huez (or however it is spelled). I never saw a person in front of me I didn't want to pass.

+3 A win is a win even if you're the only one racing. I need to feed my enormous ego something.

I've found dusk and gathering storm clouds to be great sources of motivation for turning a casual ride into a hammerfest.
