From Pau to Angoulême

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

You suck... If you really had some balls, you'd climb the Col in the gear your bike pic was in.

Let me guess...the one in pink is an American? What's the deal with all the wheelchairs? More American tourists? Europeans tour before they get careers and are mostly penniless, Americans tour when they're too damn old to really enjoy it.

Nice pix.
How'd you ship the bike?

Those climbs reminded me of what I could never have appeciated at the time....the Tour de Phil trip to Spain for a week of those climbs around Girona. (three years ago)

I had no idea, and wasn't ready for it all.

I must go back now and see it all...do it all again.
