Bibs vs. Shorts Poll...

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Bibs vs. Shorts Poll...

How many times has this come up?

In order to put an end to it once and for all, I've started a poll which I believe will show that most of the people who try Bibs end up buying Bibs from there on out.

Prove me right/wrong.

I was hoping the poll question was going to be the number of times this has come up. I was going to vote "1,213,309 times (this month)", or the closest option.

Hey, I'm trying to put an end to this. Then we can have an FAQ rather than a forum, which is my real goal.

I am fairly lean and don't have a big gut (5'9" 160 lbs) so if I don't have a problem or discomfort with my shorts, would I really want straps over my shoulders? It doesn't sound real comfortable if you ask me.

You won't even feel those straps.

I used to ride shorts, until I tried bibs, they really get pressure off your waist area, and allows your whole body to feel more relaxed without that pressure.

I was a bit skeptical about bibs, so I recently bought the Giordana's mentioned in threads a few days back. The things absolutely rock. My next shorts purchase (whenever that may be) will most definitely be a pair of bibs.

Just wait until his curiosity has peaked. Then he'll have to go satisfy his curiosity for himself.

Tried them today on my ride. 45 miles with absolutely no problems.
I am hooked. Voted for option 3.

I normally wear a thong but I'll wear a bib when I'm eating spaghetti.

Bought my first pair of bibs last year and will never go back. Well worth the extra money.
