Custom Jerseys

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Custom Jerseys

Has anyone actually bought customized jerseys from anyone? I was looking at picking up 7-8 for my Tour de Cure team and they are in the $95+ neighborhood and didn't know if that is in line with the averages out there?

I was also thinking of maybe getting some of those soccer-type Dri-Fit shirts that Nike has and doing something with those. They fit great and are $30 or so.

I own several custom jerseys ... and yeah, they tend to be a bit on the expensive side. I only get them for special occasions.

You might check with Louis Garneau or Sugoi. I think they'd be less than $95 each, but it might depend on how many you get.

Champion Systems

Minimum order is 10 jerseys, but still a good savings overall.

+1 for Louis Garneau. I had some customs made up from them for a charity ride I did, with graphics by a guy I work with. They turned out beautifully, and probably cost us about $70CDN each (we got 16). I must say it's the most comfortable, and best looking jersey in my closet! (Maybe I'm bias since it was designed for me)

Check 'er out!

I just got my most recent custom jersey from Louis Garneau today and ...... this one is exactly the same size and material on the tag as one I got 4 years ago, but it fits a bit snugger. I'm not entirely sure I like that. I LOVE the one I got 4 years ago ... it is one of my most comfortable jerseys, but I'm not quite sold on this new one. Maybe I just have to get used to it.

But it is probably a good idea to check the cut of the sleeves when you order a custom jersey. I sort of suspect that these two are cut a bit different, and I suspect that is something which can be specified when placing the order.

I've ordered small runs from https://www.velowear.com. They're easy to work with, and reasonably priced.
