Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I'm not worthy.. but I sure am a happy girl!

Long story short I moved montains for my child who suffers life threatening allergies. It was a tough year but I won a couple lenghtly battles for her health and her rights.
there was many sleepless nights and frustrations but she is my whole life.

My husband ( who I think must of hit his head) had quite the surprise for me on mother's day.

He bought me some zipps
There are going to be here at the end of the week, after talking to the zipp representative and getting advice from someone on here whom I respect a lot from his knowlege. The perfect combination for me, is a 303 on the front wheel and Im running a 404 on the back.

I dont know if Im worthy,( Im probably not )all I know is that I have a race in two weeks and I have all intention to race the heck out of those and enjoy them this racing season and hopefully for many to come!

It was the nicest present, I'm overwhelmed and ohhh so happy and excited

Congrats! I need to find a girlfriend who would get me that kind of stuff.

Although....she did let me buy my Trek 5200 a few years back for my birthday. That was kind of nice of her, I guess.

BDG - if you really aren't worthy I am sure there are many here who are willing to take them to ease your guilt...

But I suspect you are worthy!

Im really not the blender/ vacuum kind of girl

Thanks you guys!
I feel overwhelmed right now, I've been working really hard on being a stronger rider this year and I love training on my ksyzium sl, Im doing pretty good and Im not depending on the zipps to do pretty good, I know better but that's a nice little bonus!
I was scared to say after that red house thread but darnit, Im happy!!!!

worthy, schmorthy - new wheels are great. If I was limited to worthiness, I'd be riding a 1978 Schwinn with fat boy tires.

Oh come on, give yourself some credit. At least the tires would be skinny ones.

Must be nice to have a pair of Ksyrium SL's as your "beater/training" wheels.

I will post some the minute they are on

My bike is black with the white Felt logo, a small amount of yellow ( very small)
so im going with promichelin race2 black tires.

I picked clinchers, I know tubulars are known to be better, but I really put in much thoughts into this, I ride alone and depend on myself alone to change my tires in a race or on the road and clinchers will be easier for me and faster to change.

I got a new cassette so I can easily change back to my training wheels or put the zipps back on.

Im also changing my bar tape..hehe... no more yellow for now, Im going white.

It will definitly change the whole look of my bike!

Wow kick butt for you on all fronts.

Hmm I wonder if my wife would get the joke if I bought her a set of Zipps?
