Bike for GF
 

I need to get my GF her first road bike.
I'm trying to save money for our trip to the Tdf this summer.. so the budget is $600-$900.
I dont know much about womens specific bikes, or the lower end components on bikes in that price range, so I need some help.

what are the suggestions?

Id say buy used. You dont need a woman specific bike. Check craigslist oor ebay. You could also call around to local shops and check to see if they have some previous year model available. Id try and get atleast Shimano 105.

I started a similar thread looking for a bike for my wife. Two bikes people on here recommended in that price range were the Specialized sequoia and the Lemond Reno.

If I were you, I'd start with a tandem. But that's obviously out of your budget. :(

My GF just got a FELT Z-80 nice bike and should be in you price range or at least close.

Try to go for 105 components.
