Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I had Lemond honor a lifetime frame warranty on a used Victoire and I got a brand new Tete de Course frame as a replacement because there weren't any Victoires left in the warehouse. Lemond and Bontrager are owned by Trek. I was charged a measly $50 for a top of the line RaceXXXLite fork as I simply could not have a non-matching fork on that sweet Tete frame!

I had a rear hub fail on my '05 Sarthe w/ Race Lites ('06 & '07 use Race) and I got a free new rear wheel w/ a revised hub design in about a week. I'm considering buying another wheelset as I've lost some faith in Bontrager.

Those '05 Race Lites only had about 500 miles before hub failure, while my '04 Race Lites on another bike have about 6,000 miles and have been virtually flawless. I reckon it's because they stopped using DT Swiss hubs in '05 --- stupid move by Bontrager.

BUT I would probably still consider purchasing a new Bontrager equipped Lemond if I were ever in the market again. They do stand behind their product.

thx for the info i'll go talk to them.

Well, I'm an idiot most of the time, so I don't know if they are P Clamps or what. I know how to run the camera though, so here are some close ups...

Gonna be an all around everything kind of bike, so it had to have the fenders cause out here in Orygun it rains and the rooster tails up the back don't give a very professional look at work.

Yep, it's a good all-around bag for commuting and day trips...sqr makes it easy to take from bike to bike. I also have a Pendle that I use in the winter, when I gotta stuff more stuff.

Not, the bike hates the water. It also hates having to jump in emergently to save my small children when you turn your head for 5 sec. to grab something If I could have the lightning speed my children have to do things they are not supposed to, I would be at the top of the pro peloton despite them all doping on anything they want.

Nice. I think you and I might be the same size, because that's exactly how I'd have one built. (Damned stumpy legs!)
