Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Brians Ride

This kid rode his bike from Pittsburgh down to Tallahassee, then entered the Atomic Race, and today is beginning his trek back to PA. He's doing it in an affort to raise awareness for cystic fibrosis.

He seems like a nice kid, and it's for a good cause.

I wish him luck. That's a very hilly route.

Yeah, we were chatting during the race and he informed me "flat lands are for wussy."

I cut him a check as soon as I got back to the car.
