Tubs for racing
 

I was advised by manufactuer of wheels I am reveiwing that I shud go for tubs for racing.

The wheels will be only used for Time Trial and Triathlon racing.

Wondering what the people here think ? pro's con's - things to consider..?

I have always used clinchers to date..

I've heard that tubulars are used because they are less likely to pinch flat, so that you can safely take the fastest line through turns even if the surface is poor. But I've never had a pinch flat on a road bike,

I thought that tubulars are used because they're lighter than clinchers and can hold more air pressure. For time trials, I would get a skinny (18-20mm) front slick that holds a lot of air pressure, and a decent 23mm wide rear (Vittoria or Conti)
