what road bikes should i be looking at?
im hoping to get a road bike now because i do long distance every year for a charity called scope. will be doing a 140miles bike ride for 2 days this year. any suggestions for a road bike that does short and long distances ? and any important elements i should be looking at to buy a road bike ? £300 max budget

All the main brands offer bikes around the $600 to $700 range. Or, you can look at a used bike. But, if you aren't an avid biker with experience or have a friend or family member with cycling experience, I'd first try your local bike shop (lbs) in regard to finding one that meets your needs in terms of type of riding and price range.
