Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Time for a new cassette

I will be replacing my cassette soon because I have worn out my favorite gear. The one I have now is Sram PG-970 are the any others that are longer lasting or more durable than this model. Not to concerned with weight more concerned about durability if that applies.

if you're happy, just get another PG970 cassette, or if u want, an ultegra cassette would be a good replacement. I'd get whatever the cheapest. But note that Sram likes to do 12 - 26 while Shimano does 12 - 25 or 12 - 27, so you're gearing might change a little if u go shimano.

I would recommend you change your chain along with the cassette.

Actually a new chain was put on today at the shop, I would have changed out the cassette but just dropped $250 on new cycling shoes friday and another $50 in repairs today. I tried using my original stock wheelset but that cassette seems to slip on every gear. It's shifting like a dream though.
