What's different besides the color? I like the chainrings.

it was not easy to get just the first example group and that will go for testing
but from what I can tell - this is a fantastic looking and performing set of components

article that gives a high level on the differences.
i've been thinking on the FC-R700 to replace my FSA crank, but i've been holding off because i like the look of carbon. i think here's my happy middle ground.

Mike, mike, mike... we need to talk about your photography... you're so close yet so far! Stem is flipped, but what's up with those spacers? And it's common knowledge that you ought to be in the big chainring/little cog combination

Hot damn it looks pretty. Right after I bought my bike too =T. Oh well, October is sorta far away, even though I'm waiting until then for my carbon fiber frame.
Is red an official Motobecane color? I would think a blue would have gone better with that color scheme to convey the 'ice' concept.

PPS: The old 600 anodizing isn't nearly that dark. Just had a close look.

I like everything but the chain ring. The chain ring reminds me of the Sora chain ring (in aesthetics only)

How exactly is that any different than the C Grey that Campag dropped after one year?

Ya know, I'd love this grouppo. I just don't think I'm ever going to be ready to own a carbon frame...
Maybe I'll put the grouppo on a steel frame? Who know!
My current steel project won't call for a grouppo anything like this, but the winter of my jr year I'm planning on doing a build that should last me till, well, forever!
Then again, weight isn't really my priority so I'm probably going to save the cash and get a haircut, cut my nails, blow my nose, and clean out my ears before I ride so that I lose those 100 grams. Sounds like a plan!
Now, if I could market that, I'd be filthy rich!
Edit: That is a really really nice looking bike...
I wish BD had a few better lighter steel bikes...

Hmmm.........Centaur is grey then dropped after a year or two and now Ultegra is grey.
See..............Ultegra=Centaur.
This settles it.

I love those tuning fork seat stays. They remind me of the obsolete Trek 5200-5500 round tube late 90's frames.
The ones they don't make anymore.
