What road bike do you have?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Late 1970's (I think) Centurion Super LeMans. Just got it as my daily commuter, loving it so far.

Just getting back into road riding after too many years and since my last one was a steel framed Nishiki "10 speed" that I got when I was still in high school, I decided to grab a cheapie off of craigslist. I had set my goal of under $400 so off I went e-shopping. Trek, Cannondale, Specialized, Feldt: I kept seeing the same bikes over and over. I was getting tired and my new riding buddies were getting impatient so had to make a choice. I was resigned to getting a Specialised Allez A1 Max until I stumbled across an unknown brand that caught my eye. Owner was a cool fellow who had not responded to my initial advances. 3 days later he did and he started getting a little chatty chatty. He said that he had bought the bike in Europe and it was not sold in America at all. Ohhhhh - exclusivity!

Ganna. Isn't that the name of a country in Africa? No that's Ghanna.

After a little google-fu I found out that it was an Italian company that was started by the first winner of the Giro d'Italia, Luigi Ganna in 1912. Ok storied company.

The bike had a 7005 aluminum frame, Dura Ace headset, 9 sp Campy Mirage brakes/shifters and derailleurs, Veloce crank, Selle Italia XO saddle and Alex DR15 wheels. So not top of the line components and due to the 9 speed shifters nor were they the latest bits. But the bike had character I liked the frame so I bought it. And here it is. Pretty good for 200 bucks IMO

Eventually I'll upgrade the wheels and update the crank as well as the components with 11 spd Chorus

2015 Specialized Tarmac

Bought it on a budget and am slowly upgrading as a reward to myself for personal achievements (e.g. metric century, average speed, etc.)

First post, so here it is:

2016 BMC GF01 Di2

I know the color is a little divisive, but I don't mind being different. Got it a few weeks ago and it rides great! My last bike from my tricurious phase is a Cervelo P1, which is still a blast to ride. Looking to buy lighter wheels in the next year, but these work for now

Only if you make little reactor noises under your breath every time you accelerate or something.

Are you trying to tell me there are people who don't do this on every ride?
