What road bike do you have?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I have always thought Klein made some beautiful bikes. Yours is no exception.

My first bike, gift from my sister-n-law.

Klein Quantum II; I don't know the year, any help on that would be appreciated.

I've since adjusted the seat angle, height, and bars height. She's quite smaller than I am.

NB: I only use those massive bidons when I'm doing 50+ miles.

Fellow Felt rider here - I think the green looks great.

Hmmm, can't believe I haven't posted here before. I guess I'll start with the Lemonds....

1989 Greg Lemond Ventoux - Billato Brother's of Italy built with a mix of Shimano stuff. Very fast and comfortable on long rides. Columbus Cromor:

1990ish Greg Lemond Maillot Jaune - Also Billato Brother built from Columbus TSX. Campagnolo Chorus, this thing just begs to go fast.

2000 Lemond Zurich (Trek Era) Reynold 853 with Ultegra. Most of my Prs were set on this. Loaned it to a friend about 3 years ago for a ride...he still has it....

2003 Lemond Toumelet, frame rebuilt with a mix of Dura Ace and Ultegra 10 speed stuff and a Wickwerks 53/34 chainrings.

Next up, the Schwinns.

1987 Schwinn Circuit with Campagnolo Athena 11 speed and Campagnolo Zonda wheels, Columbus SL:

1987 Schwinn Prologue with a Dura Ace 7400 6 speed setup. Fast and smooth, Tange Prestige:

1991 Schwinn PDG Paramount -prototype bike for the PDG series, Tange Prestige and Shimano 600 tricolor, still sorting this one out.

The "Italians"

1988 Basso Gap - Repainted and one smooth riding bike:

1999 Bianchi Campione -Campagnolo Mirage 9 speed. Found locally in pretty much mint shape last year.

1989 Giordana Antares - Columbus Cromor, Dura Ace 6 speed and SL23 rims laced to Dura Ace hubs. My fastest descent of 55.4 mph on this one.

Mid 90s Giordana XL Super - Excell Podium steel, Campagnolo Anthena 11 speed with Shamal wheels. 19 1/2 pounds without even trying. Found as NOS frame and built up. This one is my all around favorite, does everything so well.

Early 80s Fuji S12-s, 650B conversion that is still a work in progress:

The rest....

Bob Jackson - Another nice bike Reynols 531 and Shimano 600 8 speed

2003 Kona Jake the Snake. My road bike for rainy and wintery days.

2015 Lynskey R265 with Ultegra 11 speed. This one get's lost in the shuffle so I'm selling it (I hope) locally. Sweet ride though...

Mid 80s Orbea Cabestany - Campagnolo 10 speed cassette shifted with an Ultegra 9 speed RD by the original Simplex friction DT shifter. And it works great. This is my bad road condition bike because it was cheap and is all beat up. Still, I can hold a 19+ mph pace for miles upon miles even with the big 700 x 30 tires.

1972 Peugeot U08 because everyone needs one.

1985 Trek 560 Pro Series - Reynolds 531 with a mix of Dura Ace and 105 components. Stiff and really fast and....I really don't like it. This one will be gone soon too as I only keep what I ride.

Whew, I think that's it. And yes all see regular use although some do get a lot more than the others.

I had a 97 Bianchi Campione d'Italia in Celeste. Absolutely loved that bike. I was 15 years old when I got it new.

Such a great color. One day I'll probably have one again. It was such a comfortable, stable and quick bike.
