What road bike do you have?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Trek 2017 Domane SL6 Disc

After 20 years riding a Trek 520, I emptied my change jar and bought a Trek Domane SL6 Disc. Amazing ride.

Beaten up Cube Peloton triple (Shimano Sora)... Probably my most ridden bike, approx 50,000 Kms.

Giant TCR Carbon with Campy Zonda wheels ..... used for zipping around on sunny days and feeling like Chris Froome (despite my best pitiful efforts).

Unbranded Reynolds 631 Steel frame (with a steel fork that weighs approx the same as a Blue whale) which I built up myself for longer rides in comfort......

What a pair of beauties! I guess you will keep the old one? I just bought my second ever road bike (I am originally a mountain biker) and I plan to keep the old one, I am a sentimental!

I'll still use the 520 for any loaded touring, and over the winter I'll be "Zwifting" on it on my Wahoo Kickr indoor smart trainer. My old Schwinn Hybrid with flat pedals will stay as the "Bike with My Wife" bike!

Colnago Super - part Pantographed

This is my 1973/4 Colnago Super, it is pantographed on some components see Chainwheel, Handlebar Stem, Seat Stem, Gear Levers. Bought it early this year on eBay Auction. It came from California and is in very good condition except frame is rubbed in places but not enough to do anything about it.
It came with Tubular Tyre Rims and I kept these wheels as they are original to the bike but for practicality I acquired a set of matching Campagnolo High Flange Record Hubs and built them up with Mavic Open Pro Rims that suit the bikes look very well.
I stripped all bearings and cleaned them and repacked with grease. There were no faults found, the bike has clearly been looked after though probably well used. I have got some new gum rubber shrouds to go on the brake levers.
It rides beautifully:

Hi Mercator: You may be correct re the Chainwheel and it has the Cloverleaf Drillium Symbol at the spokes, the Gear Levers too, but the Seat Stem is Pantographed with Colnago Symbol with coloured Grooves if you look carefully. Looking in the brochures of the time the Eddy Merckx model had the same Drillium Chainwheel. Regards Peter.
