ah very true, but I have seen guys on real nice machines that just doesnt fit them. I would love to complament on their machine but I domt know if they know what the hell they are riding. I am by no mean an expert in bike fitting, but I know ( and I think most people in the forum) can see when a rider is on the wrong size bike.....ah just an observation (this should be a topic on a new thread)

I just upgraded my 2005 Specialized Allez Sport to Full Ultegra with R540 pedals and R550 Wheelset. It also includes zertz seatpost, zertz fork and titanium Alias seat.
The only thing I haven't upgraded or replaced is the frame and I am debating wheter I should go with a Specialized Comp frame with zertz seat stays.
Other than that I am probably done with it except for some titanium skewers and some lights and fenders.

prolly thinks it's odd to put titanium skewers on an allez sport... which may be, but you've upgraded everything else... all that stuff can move to a new frame easily... so whatever you want!
I have an allez elite, haven't done anything to it yet... but am probably going to get fsa k-wing carbon bars and mavic ksyirium elite wheels pretty soon... otherwise, waiting for a full carbon bike at some point...
Good luck

Obviously I am a newbie and wanted to lighten my bike as much as possible because of 12% climbs I have. Also it is going to start raining soon here, hence the fenders.

I have a 1984 Schwinn Peloton that was made for them by Panasonic with a Columbus tube frame and Suntour group set that rolls on Araya aero tubular rims. I bought it new when I was much younger and rode it all of the time until the early 90's when I got into MTB's, so it sat for about a decade. I think the frame is too big for me and its my fault because when I bought it for the outrageous sum of $800 back in 84 and was still growing my thinking was I did not want to out grow such a expensive bike . Now that I have got back into road riding I will want to get a new bike after I drop a few pounds, maybe a Cervelo but for a 21 year old bike it still goes pretty good and only weighs a little over 20 pounds. I will try to find some photos to post of my old red bike .

Got my digi-camera working again but pics are still kind of dark though. Here's my 2005 Lemond. Upgrades from stock: replaced the Bonty saddle with a Flite; swapped the 90mm Race Lite stem w/ a 100mm Race X Lite; replaced under warranty the Bonty OEM carbon seatpost with a Race X Lite ACC; added Eggbeater pedals and a CatEye Astrale 8. It's been sweet to ride this summer.
