Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Nice, I have the one-step-down from yours. If it's really new, that's a pretty good price.

Not quite as modern as most of the bikes shown recently but still a contender. 2001 LeMond Zurich, Reynolds 853 steel, full Ultegra, Conti GP 4000s, Specialized Alias 143 saddle, Crank Bros. Quattros. I bought it from a forum member a couple months ago. Great bike.

Simply Awesome. It's nice to see a sporty steel bike that gives all those aluminum frames a run for their money.

My Finished Holdsworth Project

59 CM Holdsworth Nuovo-Record all set up with newer components where it counts.

Neuvation Wheels, carbon seatpost and bars, Ultegra front and rear De's. 11-32 shimano and a 3-ring in front. Ultegra STI Flight deck shifters.

I love steel. This bike is so smooth.

Beautiful bikes in this thread!!!

Here is my new 06 Specialized S-Works Tarmac. She is full Dura-Ace with Ksyrium ES wheels. So far I am in love with the Toupe saddle at this point but I am still tweaking the fit a bit. Time will tell I guess.

I have two (at the moment) ...

Surly Pacer ... Steel, real, heavy ... mostly Ultegra and OpenPro

Cannondale CAAD5 ... Aluminum and fast ... Mostly DA and Ksyrium. Can I have a Six13, Mammy?

Dura Ace setup except for crank which is Ultegra. Next on the list is upgraded wheels and crank, and a carbon fiber stem. It is such a nicer ride compared to my last bike, a Trek 2200 ZR.

What's the difference between 9r and 7r?

Stiffer and stronger, so it requires fewer wraps of carbon fiber. Less wraps, less weight.
