What road bike do you have?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Updated Pics of my IF ClubRacer

Ti Frame, Steel Fork
Campy Record Ergolevers
Chorus FD
Chorus RD
13-29 Chorus Cassette
Salsa Bell Lap bars
Brooks Swallow Saddle
TA Specialities Carmina Double Crank (94 BCD) 50/34

Rigged for brevets and the fall weather with:
Mavic OpenPro with Schmidt dyno hub
Dual Schmidt E6 lights
Ortlieb h-bar bag
Oretlieb Seat Pack
Honjo fenders
Schwalbe 28's

It converts nicely to my fair weather racy friend... but I like it in its current set up. I've been doing alot of pre-dawn and dusk riding. Catching the stars and the sunrise is quite nice.

Apologies for the image size. Can't figure out how to link through Picassa and Google to the smaller versions.

Just got this guy from my LBS for...

$399.

Still seeing if there's something wrong with it, or if it's hot. Any suggestions on a replacement saddle? Stock is really uncomfortable after 10+ km.

Fake Edit: Just registered the bike with my local PD, so it wasn't hot. Still might have something wrong with it though.

Just got my first proper bike!

Just bought a Trek 2000. Actually I've kind of disliked Trek as a brand before. Always seemed to be expensive and nothing special. But this one seemed to have quite good reviews, was nice to ride and and had a nice discout (payed 1680 euros). Nice and light too..

If you are riding it with the seat that way and that is the only way to make the bike fit you or make it feel comfy, then it is not the right size for you. Or is that how the previous owner had it set up?

If it doesn't fit you and you got that Puch for a good price you could probably sell the frame/fork on eBay for a fair bit as it looks to be in pretty good shape. Then use that money to buy a frame that fits.

It was the way the original owner had it, but it seems to fit me fine. My @$$ doesn't hurt or anything, and the height is fine for me.

$399?! Jesus. The asses at my bike shop sold me mine for $800 out the door including tax when all was said and done, including a pair of Shimano pedals. That was earlier this year, too, it was on 2005 'closeout'. I can't believe what a sucker I was for them..

Here's a picture of it with a Bontrager Select wheelset (bought them later for $150, the Alex wheels were destroyed in a low-speed crash. What junk.).

I don't have the bike any more though, I sold it for $650. Bought my Veloce for $700 the week after.

I feel the same about the gold as well but I just got the bike last week and I did not like the 07 colors any better and at 2299.00, originally the LBS asked for 2499.00 but I just got a 200.00 discount due to the salesman not telling me it was an 05, msrp its over 3K. The wheels came off my red Specialized so I'm thinking of removing the labels on wheels and putting black tires. As far as the handle bars I'm looking to get carbon wings over the winter, and about the saddle I kinda like the one currently on. Here's a close up pic.

1. Selle SMP saddles are specially created for protection of your genetals especially your prostate.
Because I have some problems with that I have to have a saddle like this.
I bought mine on a Ebay store based in Italy for 140 Euros.

https://www.sellesmp.com/en/default.htm

2. Polar S725 Tour Edition is especially with a link to the Tour de France and looks much better then the normal 725 versions.
Here's a shot of mine sitting on the bike.

Hey existence,
Do the TREKs have the same "Handbuilt in the USA" decal / sticker down there in OZ? They are quite different here. Here in Japan it says something like "Handbuilt in the USA using local and foreign parts"

Thunks for that. I couldn't believe it when I saw it . Even under clear coat (WTF) . My mate here has an old TREK and has it has the same one as used in the USA, so it must be recent. Gawd it looks bad.
