What road bike do you have?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Yes. That's relevant because someone has posted their team's bike in this thread.

So just what does my bike have to do with this guy's Lemond? Personally, I like his Lemond.

I don't see how my Trek in any way devalues anyone else's bike nor do I get why it would prompt your ignorant comments.....

Any bike that is out of the shop and under a rider is as legit as any bike out there, including yours. It does compete, but it's not about competing, it's about being one more cyclist, and that's good enough.

Nice ride.

I stand corrected sir.

I stand on what I said about the channel so stop bit*&ing (not necessarily directed at you goldfish) because I think the bike's hot. I mean look at it. Jeezus. I just happen to think the decal looks like s^%t. My opinion. The rest of the paint scheme rocks. Then again I own a TCR a1 so I should shutup. That's ugly I had no choice. I guess free thinking is on another thread.

Whoa big guy cool your heels! He expressed some embarassment at posting pics of his bike being as he thought "it wasn't good enough". I understand that as someone with a budget.

Now follow my logic here. His pics came right after yours. Yours is a beautiful bike that overshadows his in the "flashiness" department just a bit. I tried to make a friendly little comment.

I posted just before this post (unfortunately before your attack - I don't delete posts) that I love your bike so stop being a baby. I don't like the cheesy Discovery Channel sticker. It's a little thing. It's not an attack on you as a person nor is it against your sweet ride. Your comment, being that it's an attack against me and my big mouth, is far more ignorant than mine so get over it. Anyone who's that insecure about a $4000+ bike has some issues. Why would you care what anyone thinks?

I'm sorry if I hurt yo wittle fweelings. Oh shoot there I go again. Let's be friends OK?

I am too old enough poo-head.

You couldn't fool your own mother on the foolingest day of your life with an electrified fooling machine.

Goodnight dingle-berry I have ballet* practice in the morning. My initial comment was very small btw, someone else made it into....ah whatever this is.

* the ballet comment is a means to allow you to retain your feeling of superiority. Enjoy it while it lasts. OK lock this thread! 600,000 views be damned haha

I love the colour too. It's a beaut. I spent that same amount and only got a Giant Italian names are so sexy. Enjoy! She also let you have a game system! Does your wife have a sister?

Oops I better shut up or Herr Thomasfxlt will call me immature again.

BTW Thomasfxlt - I did not have anything to do with the description of "Fred" over at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fred_%28bicycling%29. It's just a coincidence. Pretty funny though

just got this bad boy today. my first road bike in quite a while, and i couldn't be happier. it's a 2006 Felt F65 that i got on sale for $1045. the hills in seattle convinced me to get a road bike (though my cousin prodding me so we could go on longer rides helped a bit too ) i want to train up a bit first but i'd really like to try circuit racing. seems like a lot of fun.

42/39. I can't be bothered sticking a 52 on there and it would also involve needing a new cassette. I'll wait until the main race season over here starts. (Junior regulations)
