What road bike do you have?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Hi... It's just some standard Shimano SPD-SL pedals. It's the Shimano PD-R540 to be specific (https://cycle.shimano-eu.com/catalog/...=1193454033498)
They work great for fitness use and they're pretty cheap.

Yeah... I wonder how the color would look on a car, haha... I guess the answer lies in the question...

Beautiful bikes... both of them. You're not keeping the wheels on the second one? I think the color clashes with the the SLC but if you could get different stickers it would look awesome.

There is certainly a lot of seat post showing, but not much he can do about it. With sloping geometry, head tube height is key and from what I can see, he is not a 'flip-it' candidate - so the bike appears well sized.

not as high tech as the bikes here, but its still fun to ride. How hard is it to upgrade a threaded headset to headless? Is it worth it to be able to use all the modern stems and headsets out now, instead of a quill stem?

I'm sorry -- don't you think you should try to inject a little *style* into your ride? So plain vanilla.

That pic goes in my collection. What's the ride like?

Good looking bicycle. I only ever sold one or two of those, but I remember they made for one of the lightest bikes in the shop for a while. Take that, full carbon!

It is definitely worth the upgrade, provided you really love the bike. The only things you'll need to swap out are: fork, headset, stem, and spacers. The secret that nobody tells you about the swap is that you can shed a ton of weight on the fork compared to the threaded fork, particularly if you opt for a carbon steerer.

BostonRoadee the bike is great for long distance events. I've done all the BMB brevet distances and a few 24 hour time trials with it. I have a second zipp that is not painted and has been sitting for years that I just started putting back together last week. I just finished breaking down the flame zipp so it can go out for a new and better flame paint job.

C-dale RP2000s with the Crank Brother's 3 hole cleat. I've come from mountain biking so the Look pedals never apealed to me.
