What road bike do you have?

I've been a member here for about a month and have recently returned to riding after a bit off a layoff. This is my ride, from about 1992. The bike is a Bianchi Virata of that era. The component group is a full Shimano Ultegra 600 8 speed and it still shifts like a dream. Tubing is Tange Prestige with oversize downtube ovalized at the BB. Recent improvements include the new tape, Shimano Ultegra PD-6610 pedals, a Cateye wireless computer and soon new tires to replace the old Vittorio 2 compound units. Please excuse the mismatched rims as one broke years ago and the shop didn't have the OEM replacement and instead installed a Campy unit on the front.
Looking at modern bike's, the $1200.00 I paid back then was a real bargain and I like the traditional look.

Ultegra 600 RD

Lugged tubes!

Bottom bracket

One more pic.

Thanks, Mike.

2009 Cannondale CAAD9...Changes since the picture: Flipped the stem and remounted the Cateye computer sensor (realized it was backwards, lol) and computer. First road bike, although I have been through a couple of MTBs. Rode my 29er with my dads group a couple of weeks ago and managed 23mph for 40min in the paceline...then died, lol.

I'm a newbie here on this site. Thought I'd show off my main ride, a 1993 Waterford 1200. Got the frame and fork via eBay around 6 years ago; it was originally white with red and blue confetti, and silver decals. The paint was nicked up, so I sent it back to Waterford for a repaint with new decals. It spent 4 years in the box before I built it up to use.
What drove me to finally build it up is that standard road bike gearing, specifically the 39/53 chainrings, are getting too over-geared for my old legs. This bike has a Ritchey WCS compact crank, and I replaced the large chainring so that I have a 34/46 setup, with a 12-25 Ultegra rear cogset. I put bar-end shifters on it to minimize the shifting and chain rub issues with this "odd" setup.

new bike.
I just picked up a 2009 Orbea Onix. I spent the whole day yesterday test riding bikes and i kept coming back to this one. It looks almost identical to the Orca which has always been one of my favorite bikes. Full carbon frame, and Ultegra SL components. Seemed like a lot of bang for the buck in comparison to some of the other bikes with the same component package.
Here is a teaser shot until i can take some more.
