What road bike do you have?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Deda Newton Pista, I love the extra deep drop, but they'd never work for a road bike as you can see...

Yeah, Dura-Ace 7801 leftover chain polished up with a buffing wheel. I played around with an 8 speed Shimano SuperDuper pin to lock it.

The frame is a repainted IRO Angus, it's very comfy and pretty stiff. It's got Reynold 631 steel. For the winter I think I'm goign to put the stock steel fork and threaded setup back on. The Q really evens out the ride, it's really nice. I should probably go with some more blue on the bike since I re-did the fork in blue.

Thanks guys.

Here are my two Cannondales. One is an '05 CAAD8 with some new Diamante Pro tires and a Deda Zero stem, and the other is an '86-87 Criterium with a smorgasbord of 105, 600 and Dura-Ace parts.

Pic of the Forge. It's a pleasure to ride, and I'm very happy with it. Cost <$400.

Could be something to rest his feet on - I've seen some Harleys with similar appendages.

Har har. Yeah, I use platforms. Allows me to wear normal shoes (or sandals) whenever I feel like riding.

I've got the seat about three to four inches above the bars. What can I say? I like the aero.

Yeah. Works for me. I wouldn't ride nearly as often if I needed special shoes just to get on the bike.

And wheel reflectors too... Sorry uke I had to jump on the bashing bandwagon..I did a 250 mile(in 4 days) fund raising ride this past summer and one of the guys was using platforms. He was a beast and outrode me on the whole ride. I prefer clipless ,but I do lunchtime rides with regular shoes on my clipless pedals. I'm not hammering so it's good enough to get out for a short ride. That's what makes the sport great we can set our bike up the way we like it...
