What road bike do you have?

Notices
Road Cycling It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle. -- Ernest Hemingway

You needn't be defensive about it. I've an 08 Allez as my winter bike and it's a great bike. Lose the wheel reflectors, warning decals on the inside fork, and that dork disk, and you're good to go.

It's easy to make a bike weigh over the 15.00 for a race when you have pedals, your computer and other things added to the bike for race day.

I wouldn't worry about making it to a UCI race (not for a while anyway). By that point you'll probably be getting free bikes, or huge discounts. The only UCI races off the top of my head are either the big time pro circuit stuff, or national championships.

This is true. I race on my 13.2lb bike all the time. First race of the year, a guy raced a R5CA w/ Lightweights, and SR11. It was like a $25k 10lbs bike. He also won, otherwise I would call him an idiot.

This is my very 1st road bike. It's a 2011 Madone 4.5. I traded in my Trek 7.3 to get it. Pretty much stock except the stem went from 100mm down to 90mm. Using a Bontrager Node 2 computer. Current bag is the Bontrager(store put it on the bike), but it's too small. I ordered a Topeak Aero large which should be here before my next ride.

I'll get some soon. I just got back into town and picked it up from the bike shop. I let them hang onto it while I was out of town so they could have another Parlee to show potential customers.

This one is my stallion. She'll get a new wheelset and some other things by the end of the year, I just have to prove to her that I'm worth of her first.

I can just feel the tension as everyone stares at that steerer tube.

Just a couple of things I actually swapped to a Sram Rival group, other than that just appearance items and a saddle.

It's actually better for the bearings if you have one spacer above the stem, even if it's tiny.

I ended up flipping the stem. I felt to low on the bars. Weekend ride was such an improvement.

She's hot, but if I take your comment seriously, we might both be pretty pervy...
