What road bike do you have?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Yeah, its useful for some roads here in VA. The bike itself is heavy, well its good for training i guess... Its just shy of 24lbs stock. Fork alone weights 2.8lbs according to bikepedia.

Nice, Adriano. I'll look for it (you) this weekend at Charm City. You racing, what class? You might want to consider a different chain ring combo (assuming that's a standard 53-39).

ill sadly be medically out of commission this weekend, but im a totally green racer looking to get started soon at the lowest level im quite sure. its actually 26 inch wheels so its like a 48-35, which is still a bit tall, but not nearly a 53t.

I always wanted to take a pic in front of this wall. It screams as a background for bike shot.

The Lehigh Valley. More middle than North really. Once you get out of the downtown areas amd jead out towards the farms, there are plenty of beautiful rides. but yes, the drivers can be buggers.

Nice try. Love the wall. Try to get some sort of a bike stand that you can carry with you to the location next time. Place the bike away from the wall and get as far as possible from the bike and the wall. Then try to zoom in and take different shots. Remove the bag and everything else if you can. You are going to have a killer shot.

You got it buddy. Can't wait to see how you do. Good luck. BTW in some of your shots try to get to the same level of the bike and shoot as perpendicular as possible so the hoods are superimposed.

Here is the S2 after one month, 450 miles and a couple of changes:

I swapped out the Fizik for a SMP Dynamic
Arundel Carbon cages
Look Carbon Blades
K Edge Chain Catcher
I'll wait another month before I cut the fork

i've read that people use the top tube bags for batteries, but i don't see any lights. but what confuses me more is that there appears to be a miniature tire iron next to his frame pump. good for him for putting in the miles though.

the top bag near the front carries my iphone 4g, my wallet with ID, keys , energy bars, map.
the rear bag has 2 tubes, mutli hex tools, 2 levers, a pair of gloves,

i like to be prepared, some added weight isn't that bad, as long as it is practical.
i am weight training with 20+ lbs bike.

You call that prepared? You only have one bottle, and no gun.

You'l find a bag like his top bag (I've seen it called a "bento box" or a "powerbag") where they sell triathlete stuff. Really handy, actually.

The tire iron next to his frame pump? That's actually a hose and air chuck. You'd attach the hose to the valve, set the butt end of the pump on the ground, flip out the little metal foot stand (it's on the left at the very bottom) and stand on it, then pump by pushing down, like a miniature floor pump.
