i've been riding fixed gear for a while, and decided recently to try a road bike. this is my very first road bike and am very excited about it! was about to get a cervelo S2, but met a friend who got me a good deal on this frame and it was too good a deal to pass up.
boardman AiR 9.8
SRAM Rival groupset (RED crankset coming in the mail)
Prologo Zero Pas nack saddle
3T ergonova + ARX stem
Look Keo 2 Max (blades on the way, then porting the keo 2 max back to the fixed gear)
OEM 50mm clinchers (temporary wheelset.. the printed decals look really jarring.. i know. plus the spoke pattern is completely off for bora ultra twos.. anyways, have some vinyl blank decals coming in the mail to cover them up, and i've ordered a set of November 58mm clinchers which are scheduled to reach me in June)
will take some better pictures once i've gotten the wheels sorted out....

thanks!
i like it a lot. only managed to take it out for a short ride and climb, but the bike feels stable at speed and very stiff (keeping in mind i can only compare this to my fixed gear bike). it's not the lightest setup i could come up with, but i built this bike within my budgets and needs, so still very happy with the bike. i'll try to post more impressions after i've taken it out a bit more.

took the boardman out for a ride today. feels great.. acceleration seems effortless. unfortunately, had a rear tire flat towards the end of the ride.. oh well.

Boardman bikes are sweet, an Air 9.0 just jumped to the top of my wishlist when I saw the spec and price recently, quite nice for an aero road bike. Really like yours.

Here's my first road bike. Its a 2012 Masi Partenza. I'm very happy with it, even though it's just 'entry level' and whatnot, it's very light and handles well.

lol thanks man
this was a 30th birthday present to myself! (bday is tomoro!).. plus i haven't really gotten anything nice for myself recently, so decided to do a one-off splurge. always a good idea to pamper yourself once in a while
had the trainer for a while; got it second hand and use it on those rainy days. time on the bike really flies when watching the idiot box..

You guys are soo mean!!!
I do like being more upright though. It sacrifices aerodynamics, but for a good deal of comfort factor. It's a 62cm frame which is larger than I'd normally go, but the TT length was perfect for me. If I ever get another bike, one where position is aerodynamicly important, I'd be looking for a 59-60cm frame with a longer TT than is usual.

My $200 Schwinn Varsity BBS bike. 7 Speed RSX shifters, Sora FD and RD. Aeromax wheels.
Weight as shown = 19 lbs.
Many of you may scoff, as you take pride in your $1000+ race machines, but I'm more than pleased with the performance of what I've got going here.
