What road bike do you have?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

You're late to the party mikey. I asked that very same question 45min before u in the hot or not thread. My best guess is he is building a stairway to heaven.

Sorry for the late response. Not sure how I missed this. She weighs 14.9 and the saddle is a Selle Italia SLR Monolink Saddle XC Flow Black . Comfy as heck and I love it. Just my opinion, of course.

You need everything still!!!!!

well besides the frame, and bars

The frame looks like an older steel raleigh, maybe 80's (im no expert on vintage frames). As for all the other stuff you need(wheels, seat, crank, pedals, gears, chains, deraillers, etc.) try looking to see if there is a bike project in your local area. The one by me has shelves full of old parts for dirt cheap. I'd imagine, if you can find one, they would have plenty of compatible parts for your frame as well as some guidance in the building process from the shop workers.

The bike project near me acquires old bikes and parts through donations (and maybe some benifits?) and then allows customers to come in, find the parts they need, and put their bike together on the spot with help from bike mechanics that work at the project, if you need it. If you are from a bike friendly area, I'd imagine there are shops like this in your area. The parts aren't always the prettiest, depending on what you are looking for, but those old parts were made to last.

I love the looks of this Chinese frame! Had my doubts on a few other frame styles.
Looks like an Orca X Foil to me, I may consider this one.
Let us know how it holds up to abuse.

Enjoy!

For $600 shipped, it's a relatively low risk investment. Out of all the Chinese carbon I've seen, this one if my favorite.

Well tonight I finally bought a bike. If anyone knows anything about them, tell me more!

2006 K2 Mod 3.0, shimano 105 components with flight deck. Carbon front and rear.

No pic yet, not much more I can say about it. Nice looking bike. Can't wait to get out riding.

Been riding this for the last year. First road bike, first ground up build. Someday I'd like a better frame, but this one is light and quick so it works fine. It's an old Sette Primo from Price Point, with full SRAM Rival, and Shimano RS80s. Considering repainting it, but then I'd have nothing to ride for a week.
