Going by the looks of it you need a different size frame, not a seatpost. That saddle is way too far back. You aren't going to find a seatpost with enough setback to make that safe.
but its comfortable riding it though..

You could go with more setback (FSA has a 32mm and Ritchey used to make the 45mm Wayback), but I think you need a bike fit more than anything.

+2. My first road bike was at least a size too small and the shop fitter wanted me to run the saddle that far back (plus a 140mm stem, too). I couldn't imagine it surviving too long under my (then-fatter) ass and convinced them to swap that bike for a bigger one.

I wouldn't be so quick to say he needs a new frame. Assuming the seat height is correct, there isn't a lot of handlebar drop. The stem isn't very long either. Unless he has some weird proportions I don't really see why he would need all that set back. Either the setback gets him in the right range and everything else is wrong, or the setback is wrong and everything is roughly ok, or he is a chimpanzee. The adamo makes me think you are too stretched out, so you are using it because the excessive setback creates excessive reach which is causing you to lean into the nose of a normal saddle. I mean, none of us really know what we are talking about because of limited information, but I would definitely go get fitted. To find out if that extreme setback is really as wrong as it looks you don't need to drop hundreds of dollars for a pro fit. Just go to a bike shop and someone should be able to point out any gross miscalculations with your position after seeing you on the bike for a minute or two.

Hmm. Yeah, you're right. I think we're mainly focused on the position of the saddle in the clamp, which looks tailor-made for breaking something. There may be a seatpost available with enough setback to put its clamp in the middle of the saddle rails while keeping it in that position, but I'm not even sure that that would be a good idea.

I know, it's supposed to be in the triathlon forum (I just put it there). But, I don't do triathlons- I built a time trial bike to switch it up a bit with my training/fitness. Best move I ever made. I had the wheels already and I splurged on the bars, everything else was pieced together 2nd hand and buying as cheaply as possible (without sacrificing performance).
You have to get one of these!

will ride around and see. So far in my trainer, it feels good and didn't felt as stretched out as before.
if I still can't get it right, I'll go in for a fit. Thanks for the tips!
btw.. I'm not a chimp :Lol: but I do have long arms.. Longer than normal guys my height.

selle smp saddles have around 7cm of usable rail length, and the rails are positioned further back. i would try that first.

This is my 2010 or 2011(I'm not exactly sure which) Fuji Roubaix 3.
The only thing I have change is the handlebar. It is an ITM Alcore 80 wing with Fizik bar tape.

The small red star in the image is showing somebody where I watched the fireworks from. Felt Z85 just the way I like it, though I have to trim the steerer bar down a bit. Did not pose for the camera, just half assedly set it up against a tree and took a picture with the camera phone during a ride.

My new bike, sooooo much better than the boat anchor BD windsor I was rocking. this thing is an absolute monster of a bike, love it!

Ok, I just got my triathlon bike Specialized Transition 2007:

I have learned that proper size/fit is more important than components. The size is XS - 49cm whatever it means, it was my main concern will it fit me 5'6" , and it does. The guy I bought it from is quitting racing for health reasons I believe, so I got a deal.
What I like about the bike is:

Should I replace barrel adjusters too?

They are little heavy, though the hubs don't look bad. Maybe I need to replace bearings?
