Hello
Here is my 1989 Schwinn Traveler. I bought it for my daughter in 1989. She gave it back to me. I was going to make it a single speed. After taking it apart and cleaning the components I decided to leave the original drive train. Added new red bar tape, red bottle cages, red cabling for derailleur and brake cables, clip less pedals. It has the original rims and tires. Plan on replacing tires in the future. Took it out today for a 16 mile ride. Like driving a vintage Corvette.

Thank you! The original finish was a brushed aluminum with a lot of scratches and a couple nasty gashes on the drive side stay. So I filled the gashes and opted to powder coat the frame and paint the composite fork. The rest of the additions were basically upgrade fever (and my OCD compulsion for everything to match!). I scoured eBay and picked up everything pretty cheap. before it kind of looked like a wanna-be TI bike, I'm really happy with the looks now, and it rides great too!

Heres my newly finished 1985 Cannondale SR 500. Now, I would say it is much closer to a SR900. Powder coated Outer Space Blue Sparkle (it has pearl and gold flakes in it) The photos dont do this color justice. Designed and applied the decals myself. Note the wheat stalks on the fork were a personal touch for fun (I live in Kansas and no, its not that flat). Shimano Sante 7 spd group on it. Vintage Selle Italia Turbo saddle. Shimano RS20 front wheel and Shimano RS10 rear wheel. Continental Ultra Race tires. Vintage cotton cloth bar tape. I also have Shimano 600 aero seat post on the way.

Went for a ride around the Great Swamp in NJ after the storm. There was lot's of down trees and power lines still. I rode with 2 friends. My bike is the one in the middle.

Man don't do that, leaning stuff against someone else's car is not cool. I hate it when people even brush up against my car.
Or if you REALLY want to, at least ask.
