Picked up both of these this week. Not on the high end of things but I love bikes from the late 80's to early 90's. I mean you have to love that candy blue with red splatter paint. I couldnt pass up on the Cannondale either
1992 Schwinn Paramount PDG Series 3

1987 Cannondale SR800 Black Lightning. I havent made my changes to this yet, but I have big plans. Ill repost when im done. The original owner who I got it from made some strange "upgrades" at the time.

WV is not flat..
A couple of nice grabs there. That Paramount is very cool. The Black Lightning has been changed a bit. If you need to see how it looked originally check out the link in my signature. I like mine a lot.

Yeah I know, I was a little bummed out but still pick it up anyway. The problem is 1987s and 1988's came with the Cinelli SLX black saddle. The same one that came on the Cinelli Laser so the ebay prices are through the roof on these things right now. Also black suntour sprint shifters rarely pop up on ebay. Im doubting that Ill be able to take it back to stock specs without spending more then I did on the entire bicycle.

Smokinbbl,
That is one very nice looking CAAD your wife got you for Christmas. Ride it and enjoy it, post the pics in the Cult of CAAD thread if you have not yet.

Technically not mine, but I picked this up for the wife for Christmas. Cannondale Synapse 6 w/ Sram Apex. The only shame is that we got 3 inches of snow in our area and she couldn't ride it this morning. She was a little surprised.

Don't think i've posted this before, so here's my Look. Bought 2nd hand and have had it for coming on 3 years. Hasn't missed a beat.
Tonight I bit the bullet and bought (partially) coloured tyres. Really wasn't sure whether it'd be overkill or not. I'm super stoked with how they match the frame highlights although I guess time will tell whether my excitement is overruling my better judgement! Apologies for the crappy phone pic. Might try for others later. Who knows, if they turn out OK I might even stick my neck out in the Hot or Not thread...

I love those Look's! Nice bike. I've always loved the way those were built. The 481 sl may be my all time favorite.

My rides.
Here are my pride and joy. My 2002 Bianchi Veloce, original 9 speed Veloce components with a few upgrades: Vintage Reynolds Cirro wheels with Vittoria tubular tires, Deda SuperZero seatpost, Specialized Toupe seat, Easton EC90 bars with Bontrager tape, Look carbon pedals and Velocity Ti skewers, one sweet steel bike. The second one, 2006 Scott CR1 Team Issue with Chorus 10 speed components, Gravity Zero brakes, originally came with Fulcrum Racing 1 wheels, now using Alex rims with a power meter. Both bikes purchased second hand. The third is a new 2011 Scott Addict R2 frame that is getting built. It will have a mix of Record/Chorus 11 speed components. The Bianchi will inherit the Chorus components now on the CR1 which in turn will be put for sale in the new future. Any takers? size is 54.

What do you think?
