eBay deals can be made...with some due diligence and smart shopping

Make:
TREK
Model:
Madone 6.9 Project One series
OCLV2 Carbon frame, 58cm, H2 Geo

Wheelset/Hubs/Tires:
Bontrager RXL Scanoium Clinchers,

Accessories:
Bontrager RXL Carbon Bottle cages, Garmin Edge 810, Knog lighting, TopPeak Seat Bag
Weight:
14.6 lbs (6.7 kg) with pedals and lighting, water-bottle cages and Garmin Edge installed. (13.2 lbs nude)
More Info:
Built Nov-2012, MSRP >$8500, purchased off of eBay in June 2013 from original owner for $2100+$100 S&H; verified legit to include change in registered ownership with Trek.
*Note: Not to be misleading, I changed the saddle, handlebars and tires/tubes after purchasing it from the seller on eBay. Saddle and bars were part of personal choice and fitting, and tires only due to the rear having a flat spot from being ridden on a stationary trainer. Bike came to me with OE Bontrager RXL Affinity saddle and RXL bar set. These upgrades added $700 to my all in cost which now sits at $2,900.

Wow! Rewillia, you are one lucky man! That's a very nice bike.
What does "re-register" mean (eligible for warranty)? If yes that is a super deal!

Re-registered implies that an ownership change has occurred and has been recorded with the bike manufacturer.
Doing so also served to verify that the bike I purchased had not been stolen and that transfer took place between the original buyer and myself. It did not extend the warranty as such is not transferrable according to TREK's customer service division ~ albeit I did have a full inspection including a carbon frame exam by my LBS who is a TREK authorized dealer and their factory trained tech determined it has no pre-existing carbon frame stress or fractures, and in fact, all it needed (once reassembled after FedEx shipment to me) was air in the tires.
The Shimano Dura Ace 9700 Di2 works flawlessly including the auto-sensing/adjuster/alignment between the compact crank front and rear derailleurs.
Only item I didn't get with this deal was the charger and power cord for the Shimano Di2 battery as the seller stated he had misplaced it after using it 1-one time and not riding the bike in the past 5-6 months !!!
The Guys at my LBS call it a "smoking deal"...

What's wrong with Motobecanes? Yes, I realize Motobecane doesn't really exist anymore, and the name is only a badge. Look at Pontiac, Cadillac, Oldsmobile, Buick, Chevrolet, all manufactured by General Motors. Hell, Ferrarii is now owned by Fiat, along with Lancia, Alfa romeo, Maserati, and Chrysler. So be proud you ride a Moto and post a pic of your ride in the Motobecane thread?

Hey, they offer great bikes at a great price, what's wrong with that? I think the members here that do have a problem are either affiliated with a bike shop, or have a friend that is, so don't worry about it. There are many people here in America that would have just as much to say about not buying American made bikes and threatening American jobs. But see how many of the haters are riding foreign made bikes. Ride your Moto and enjoy, it's all about the ride, not what you ride.

I upgraded the drivetrain on my podium one. Tiagra 4600 FD and RD, Cassette, and chain with an FSA Vero compact crank. Microshift 2x10 drive train. All I need to do now is correct my bottom bracket width and get a better wheelset in. I'm thinking some Aksiums. What I take off doing that I'll put on my other bike--and what I take off that will go to my "I've got extra parts" build.
I've got to say, I'm really loving the Centos shifters so far.

Hey Killa, do you also own a Foil, or am I mistaking you for someone else?

Hi BW - Your not wrong, twas me who had the FOIL 15
But it went wrong (paint defect) and they didn't have another. So got a refund. I've taken my time in choosing the right bike since. Been to 4 different LBSs to find one, yesterday I came home with this Addict RC. Bought from https://www.kbcycles.co.uk/
Heres a less bleached pic:

Cool, that makes sense. I was thinking to myself "Man, I thought this dude just got a new sweet ride. He takes N+1 seriously" It's almost like getting married to Jessica Biel and then taking on Kate Upton as your mistress (not that I wouldn't, given the opportunity). That sucks a bout the defect, but its good you got another badass ride to replace it.

LOL - I'd rather have the two ladies any day!
But the Addict will do in the meantime.. Anyhowz, thanks. Tiz a sweet ride indeed. In fact I prefer it to the FOIL so its a win win. This really is a superb bike, much better built and finished and any FOIL - IMHO.
