I agree with you about Celeste and Bianchi going hand in hand. The red bits don't bother me as much, however.

I love Bianchis in Celeste. In Europe (and specially in Italia) riders go for style in their bikes (as well as performance) so colors like Celeste are extremely popular. I guess they don't have the hang ups that some riders here have.
A historical note. Mussolini tried to change the color of the winner's jersey in the Giro d'Italia because he thought that the rosa maglia was too girlish for the winner of such a difficult race. To this day winning the rosa maglia is considered one of cycling's most difficult achievements.
And what about Il Duce? Once defeat became imminent, he tried to escape but was eventually captured. He was then executed and hung upside down, like a big, fat piece of prosciutto.
So much for his stupid machismo.

Got my first road bike almost a year ago on Memorial Day weekend. A Cannondale Women's Synapse Carbon 5 105
It's a beautiful first ride
I also recently got a Scott Contessa Speedster 35 which I am going to be riding across the US this summer, from Baltimore to Portland. Heavier with an aluminum frame and carbon fork, and lower-end components. Just hoping it'll be more durable for the 4,400 mile ride.

Too lazy to take pics. I am in bed and the bikes are downstairs in the living room and garage.

Dug up some pics from my blog:

Gonna ride this baby all the way across the country. It's for a charity called 4K for Cancer

And my first road bike. All set up for a bike/run brick when I was training earlier this year with all the snow.
Keep calm, Cycle on

Panza, did they repair the frame and also repaint it Celeste? Or did they give you a new frame?

Mussolini was probably insecure about his manlihood.

I bought this 2013 Trek Crossrip Disc for the gravel but it has not seen any as of yet , it just rides to good on the pavement, I do my weekend loop rides on it , I always like how the Paris Roubaix bikes are built up so I took a page out of the pro's book with 700x28 Vittoria Rubino Pros, double wrap bartape,Selle Flite saddle, Tacx cages and extra brake levers on the top of the Bontrager bars, now if I could just find some cobbles
